Midnight Shot NV-1 camera with invisible infrared flash to shot in the dark
The new camera from ThinkGeek, low-light NV-1 Night vision camera is a 5 megapixel camera that designed to be used in two shot modes, standard photography and night-mode. The small camera for $140 offers the ability to shoot a subject in a dark place using night vision and invisible infrared flash.
The camera with simple infra-red filter allow us to be used for daylight infra-red photography and equipped with a switch to select standard or infrared night-shot mode.When you are using the night-shot mode, the infrared will blocking the filter normally over the lens retracts to let all infrared light through. Meanwhile, at the time a super-bright IR LED invisibly illuminates (to your eyes) the whole scene.
When the daytime mode and you use the IR setting, it will allow us to be able to see through clothing due to IR light penetrates surfaces while the light we see with our eyes bounces off. To enhance the viewing effect, you should getting your own IR filter and attaching it to the lens as well.
NV-1 Night Vision equipped with 16MB internal memory for storing photos, while for the video storing you can use the SD cards which capacity up to 8GB. The video is recorded in AVI format with 640 x 480 resolution.
